Woow! Another year has gone by fast. And now a new year just began. It means, again we are given a new clean slate, a chance to make a difference this year. So, have you resolved on what do you want to do?
I've interviewed our staff. So, check out what they decide to do this year.
- Give nails a rest by buffing. Not anti nail polish here. But buffing has many benefits for your natural nails. Just don't overuse it. Don't have a buffer? Buy at our nail kit section. So, what are the benefits of buffing?
-Buffing can increase the blood circulation to the nail bed.
-Buffing off the ridges also gives a smoother surface for the polish to adhere to. -Actually buffing leaves such an attractive sheen to the nails, that you might skip the polishing step. After all, buffed nails cannot chip.
-Buffing encourages the nails to grow thanks to the improved circulation.
-This procedure also helps to remove surface stains.

- Switch to a 'safer' cosmetics, especially nail products. Next time you spend money for nail polish, get Adoree nail polish, which is formaldehyde, toluene and DBP free. For more info on safe cosmetics, go to http://www.safecosmetics.org/
- Be different with new nail polish colors. I know some people who are intrigued by the black nail polish. Can't wait to see how it looks on them. A tip on this, to save money, create new colors by mixing any nail polish you have.
- Exercise. I know I've been putting this off. But it's time now...:-)
Whatever you have determined to do, I wish you good luck in your endeavors. As a closing to this article, I'd like to quote the words from Elizabeth George, the author of a Women after God's Own Heart:
"To switch metaphors, I like your life and mine to be like a string of pearls, strung with day after day of precious days! If you desire a good life, focus on having one good day, one quality day-today!...So keep focus on having a good day today and, at day's end, slip that single pearl onto your strand. The pearls on your strand will add up to a good life!"
Happy new year! (TS0107)
